Classic Car Insurance |
Laid-Up Cover
A further form of cover only offered on a classic policy is Laid-Up Cover. This is used when you will not be driving your car on the public highway, for example it is undergoing renovation or in storage, but still wish to insure it against accidental damage, fire or theft. This type of cover also benefits from a lower premium.
There are two types of laid-up cover. Laid-up Fire and Theft only. Laid-up Accidental Damage, Fire and Theft – including in addition the risk of other forms of damage to the vehicle.
Cover does not include liability for using the vehicle and no certificate of insurance will be issued.
