Classic Car Insurance |
Age of DriverAs age affects your premium on a day-to-day vehicle, so it does on a classic car. Insurance companies often set a minimum age restriction of 21 and on higher-powered vehicles may be 25 or even 30 for some performance vehicles. It is also likely that the driver must have held a full driving licence for at least 12 months.
Value of VehicleThe value of your vehicle is a fairly straight forward rating factor for insurance companies. Generally you will pay more for an expensive car, although this is not always the case as other factors such as age, location, the power of the car etc all affect the end premium.
What may be more important to you is what value is placed on your car – see Agreed Value.
